Terry Crews sues Hollywood agent who allegedly groped himDecember 5, 2017 11:01pm

Dec. 05-- Terry Crews is taking legal action against the Hollywood honcho he accused of sexually assaulting him last year.

The former NFL player-turned-actor filed a lawsuit against Adam Venit, a prominent agent who Crews claims grabbed his genitals during a party in February 2016, TMZ reported.

Crews-who first came forward with the groping accusation in a Twitter thread in October-claims in the legal filing that he called out to Adam Sandler after the party where the alleged encounter occurred.

"'Adam, come get your boy! He's grabbing my nuts,'" Crews claims he yelled after getting groped, according to the lawsuit.

The lawsuit also asserts Sandler called Crews later the night, and both men expressed how stunned they were by Venit's alleged misconduct.

Crews-who currently stars on "Brooklyn Nine-Nine"-contends he's experienced psychological distress following the incident and is concerned Venit's standing in Hollywood could impact his acting career, according to the TMZ report.

Reese Witherspoon used her time at the podium during the ELLE Women In Hollywood Celebration on Oct. 16, 2017 to shed some light on being sexually assaulted by a director at age 16. "I've had multiple experiences of harassment and sexual assault, and I don't speak about them very often, but after hearing all the stories these past few days and hearing these brave women speak up tonight, the things that we're kind of told to sweep under the rug and not talk about, it's made me want to speak up and speak up loudly because I felt less alone this week than I've ever felt in my entire career," she added.

Venit, a higher-up in the William Morris Endeavor (WME) agency, was suspended by the firm following Crews' allegations, but has since returned to work.

Last month, Crews, 49, said on "Good Morning America" that the alleged assault left him feeling "emasculated" and "objectified."

"I did not know this man," Crews said of Venit in a segment that aired on the ABC morning show.

"He comes over to me. I stick my hand out and he takes his hand and puts it and squeezes my genitals and I jump back like hey, hey and he's like-he still is sticking his tongue out and all this stuff," Crews said in the interview.

Crews has also submitted a police report regarding Venit's alleged misconduct to the Los Angeles Police Department, ABC reported last month.
